The video shows mountain goats executing mind-bending jumps along a dramatic 90-degree cliff wall, complete with a moment where two goats appear to cross past each other mid-flight.
The Verdict: Real or Fake?
At first glance, the lighting, rock textures, and animal fur look 100% genuine. However, if you look closer at the physics, the clip reveals itself to be AI-generated:
- Floating Gravity: During the mid-air cross, the goats float horizontally for a fraction of a second too long, defying downward acceleration.
- The Impossible Camera: The video mimics a camera attached to a goat, but then smoothly transitions to a floating, perfectly stable perspective high above a deep abyss with no human operator or drone physics in sight.
- Perpendicular Wall-Running: While real Alpine ibexes and mountain goats are astonishing climbers, they rely on tiny ledges to bounce down; they don’t sprint sideways along smooth, sheer rock faces.
Living in the Age of AI Content
This clip highlights how fast synthetic media is evolving. It used to be easy to spot AI content by looking for bad textures or weird visual glitches. Today, visual quality is so high that our eyes can easily be tricked—we now have to pay attention to logic, movement, and physics to spot the difference.
